Freedom from Fear.
What is fear?
Fear is a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, whether the threat is real or imagined. Some psychologist described fear as a false expectation appearing real.
Fear is the conduit by which Demons power flow through, whereas Faith is the conduit by which God’s power flow through, by Jentezen Franklin. He narrated his experience while traveling on the airplane. He said, immediately after serving lunch, the pilot announced that they are entering a stormy dangerous weather. As the plane descending and ascending, he was busy eating his launch, while other passengers are crying and shouting. He said, even if that will be the end of his physical life, he will not go to God with empty stomach. He was not afraid of death. Thank God the plane landed safely.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (II Timothy 1:7 NKJV)
This means if the spirit of fear did not emanate from God, it then implies that fear is a spirit that come from Satan. Pastor Elero described fear as a spirit of insanity.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:14-15 NKJV)
The spirit of God lead God’s children to freedom but the spirit of fear leads Satan children to bondage. You have an option to either choose the spirit of Fear that leads to bondage or God’s spirit which leads to freedom.
Joshua told the Israelites, “Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; be strong and be of good courage, for thus the LORD will do to all your enemies against whom you fight.” (Joshua 10:25 NKJV).
No coward can please God. In fact faint-heartedness is a sin to God. That is why God listed coward person among the sexually immoral persons and liars. These sins carried capital punishment of everlasting death. God revealed this to Apostles John in the book of revelations those who shall be totally cut-off, when he said, “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8 NKJV)
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from me,” Says the LORD. (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV)
Types Of Fear
Fear of unknown.
This is very common fear that employee usually have when there is a propose changes in the organizational structure. Fear of moving to another country or fear of quitting one’s secular job for the Kingdom Ministry.
In 2014 The New Jersey State Government decided to close many state facilities which will result in massive bumping, demotion, transfer and layoff. One of my co-workers was so fearful of this bad news and he talked about it everyday and he started looking for another job. I told him to be careful for nothing as a believer but he was worried. Unfortunately, he was among the first to be laid off.
Fear is like bait or demonic messengers that Satan uses to catch the faithless individuals before it afflicts them with sorrows.
My God told me to proceed on vacation because I will not be affected by the layoff. This is against all human reasons and persuasions. I complied. I went on vacation and came back two months later. Alas, many of my co-workers were gone. The point is fear is a demonic spirit that can keep one in bondage.
Other types of fear were described as phobia.
A specific phobia is any kind of anxiety disorder that amounts to an unreasonable or irrational fear related to exposure to specific objects or situations, such as, claustrophobia which is the fear of having no escape and being in closed or small spaces or rooms, just to mention but few.
Fear of men
The most damaging fear is the fear of men. What would my friends says and what would people think? The fact is what God think about you is what matter most.
Fear of the Human Organization
Some people know the truth that they are being manipulated and being exploited but can’t leave this cult religion because of paralyzing fear.
Some of these religions operate like secret cults and they will do every evil thing to their former members who left them. This includes the fear of excommunication and shunning and the fear of losing friends and families. These fear kept many people in false religion.
The tormenting power of fear.
Fear torment the life’s of those who kept it. They have no peace and joy but pain and sorrow. Jesus said, “People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken”. (Luke 21:26 NIV)
Job acknowledged the negative power of fear when he said, “What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me. I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil.” (Job 3:25, 26 NIV) Job lost ten children in a matter of one week because he was afraid of something may happen to his children.
Any fear that is holding you hostage and prevent you from realizing your God’s given potentials be cast out in the Mighty Name of JESUS.
Jesus sent out invitation to freedom
That was why Jesus sent out an invitation to all sincere truth seekers, when he said, “Come to me, all YOU who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh YOU. Take my yoke upon YOU and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and YOU will find refreshment for YOUR souls. For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.”(Matthew 11:28-29)
Jesus further said, “YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free.”(John 8:32) It is knowledge of God and your position in God’s arrangement that will give you the power to be free from demonic bondage of fear.
Apostle Paul said, “Now Jehovah is the Spirit; and where the spirit of Jehovah is, there is freedom” (2 Corinthian 3:17). He further said, “For such freedom Christ set us free. Therefore stand fast, and do not let yourselves be confined again in a yoke of slavery”.(Galatia 5:1)
Apostle John describe fear as the opposite of love when he said, “This is how love has been made perfect with us, that we may have freeness of speech in the day of judgment, because, just as that one is, so are we ourselves in this world.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love throws fear outside, because fear exercises a restraint. Indeed, he that is under fear has not been made perfect in love. As for us, we love, because he first loved us”(1 John 4:17-19). Note that LOVE is the opposite of FEAR not courage. If you have a perfect LOVE for God, fear will be out of your life. You will not be afraid of men, demons and even death.
Humans are created to worship their creator and higher power and God. And God commanded us to congregate with other fellow believers to praise and worship him. How can we fulfill this sacred obligation without been misled?
Jesus answered this question in Matthew 18:18-20.
He said, “Truly I say to YOU men, whatever things YOU may bind on earth will be things bound in heaven, and whatever things YOU may loose on earth will be things loosed in heaven. Again I truly say to YOU, If two of YOU on earth agree concerning anything of importance that they should request, it will take place for them due to my Father in heaven. “For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.”(Matthew 18:18-20)
During Jesus earthly ministry he attended Jewish Temples and Synagogues, he found that the religion leaders are hypocrite just like religious leaders of today. He then formed a small group of 12 disciples and gave them power to preach about God’s Kingdom in all part of the world.(Matthew 28:19-20) This is where Bible Fellowship was recommended by our Lord and Savior. “For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.”(Mathew 18:20)
Prayer for freedom from fear
I pray that Jesus set you free from bondage of fear of intimidation, fear of excommunication and shunning. I pray that Jesus destroy all forms of oppression, suppression and coercion in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Pray for perfect LOVE of God that throw fear away. The Fear of men, fear of human organization and death is now cast out in the Mighty Name of Jesus. May God free you from all bondage and fear that is tormenting your life, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Godly Fear bring Blessing
Fear of God is the idea of living in respect, awe, and submission to a deity. The first mention of the fear of God
Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. King Solomon said in Proverb 22:4 that humility and the fear of true God lead to riches, honor and life. That means the only acceptable and profitable fear is the fear of the true God.
The fear of men leads to a snare. The fear demons lead to bondage. Fear is a demonic messenger. Fear is a sin because it lacks faith. Therefore be courageous and faithful to the end. God shall reward you abundantly.
