The Divinity of Jesus
What is Divinity?
Divinity means. Divine character or nature, of the Supreme Being. With this definition, This means Jesus is God because he has a divine nature and divine character of God.
Why Is it Important to know Jesus and Honor Him As Honor is father?
It is a matter of life and dead to honor Jesus as we honor his father because is the life-giver.
That was why he says, in John 5:23-24
“that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:23-24 NKJV
Jesus is fully the son of man because he was born as a man. Again Jesus is fully God because he has divine nature of God. How?
The question is, how does Jesus Disciples know him?
Do they know him as A Man or Do the Know Him As Michael Angels? Or Do they know him as God?
Who is Jesus?
In John 20:28 Thomas of the Jesus disciples addressed him as my LORD and my GOD.
Stephen
“And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”(Acts 7:59 NKJV)
Stephen a man full of Holy Spirit Prayed To Jesus to receive his spirit.
Apostles Paul
In 11 Corinthians 12:7-8. Paul Prayed 3 Times to Jesus to heal him of a thorn in the flesh.
Apostles Paul recognized the position of Jesus as God that can answer prayers.
Apostles John also acknowledges Jesus as the true God and eternal life in I John 5:20b

“And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true;
and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ.
This is the true God and eternal life.”

From the aforementioned examples, the early Apostles know Jesus to be the true God.
Did God the Father recognized Jesus as God?
Yes.
In Hebrew 1:6, 8. God the father addressed him as God and commanded the Angels in Heavens to Worship Him
God the father addressed Jesus as God,
“When He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.”Hebrews 1:8 NKJV
Is Jesus the Michael, the Arch Angel? The answer is No
Jesus is greater than Angel and more than an ArchAngel or Michael Angels. According to Daniel 10:13
“But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold,
Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.”(Daniel 10:13 ).
This Michael is one of the Chief Princes that was called the archangel in Jude 1:9
“Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”(Jude 1:9 NKJV)
and also in Revelation 12:7 Michael and his Angel fought against the dragon in Heaven and won the battle.
Jesus is superior in position to this archangel The fought in Heaven.
For example, chief cook is still a cook. Therefore archangel the Michael is still an Angel. Jesus Christ position is God and higher than Angels.
Because God commanded the Angels to worship Him Hebrew 1:6
If Jesus is the archangel, God would not command him to worship himself.
The Watchtower Society need to correct their teaching about Jesus the archangel. The chief of Army staff in any country is not the King or the president of the country similarly Michael the archangel is not the king of God’s Kingdom. Jesus is the King of Kings.
The Archangel Michael is Heavenly Warrior commander or the Chief Of Army staffs under Jesus, the King of Kings.
The Bible will help us to know who Jesus is.
Jesus
He is the reflection of [his] glory and the exact representation of his very being, and he sustains all things by the word of his power; and after he had made a purification for our sins he sat down on the right hand of the Majesty in lofty places. 4

6: But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.””

7: And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire.”
8: But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.” Hebrews 1:7-8 NKJV
Jesus was a shadow or a reflection of God. For example, if God made man in his image, Jesus his own son will be exact replica of his father.
Just like a son is a copycat of his father.
For example, my son bears my name and look like me. Am a man and is a man.
Similarly Jesus is God and his Father is God and they bears the same name.
They both can kill and made alive.
Jesus carry his father nature or DNA and bears his father’s name.
Jesus and His Father is One God.
He corrected Philip by saying
“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.
Jesus said to Philip, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip?
He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. (John 14:7, 9-10 NKJV)
Philip was one of the followers of Jesus yet he did not understand the divine nature of Jesus. Jesus has to tell him directly that if you have seen me, you have seen my father because my father lives in me and I LIVES IN MY FATHER.
In Genesis 1:1, 26. The Bible said, “In [the] beginning God created the heavens and the earth”. And in verse 26, God said, LET US make man in our image.
Who was God talking to when he said, LET US make man in our image?
Certainly God was not talking to himself but to his Son and the Holy Spirit.
By means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, 18 and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things. (Colossians 1:15-17)
For example, a good house will have a designer called an architect and a brIcklayer or carpenter both the architect and bricklayer are called “The Builder”.
The Architect plan the house and the bricklayer did the actual building.
In this illustrations God the father design the man in his image and Jesus carried out the actual creating and giving life to any creatures.
Jesus is our direct creator while God the father was the creator like an Architect.
That was why Jesus repeatedly said, I am the Life. I will give you everlasting life.
I am the life and resurrection. I will resurrect you in the last day.
Anyone who love life should honor and worship as God Directed in Hebrew 1:6
How do we know that Jesus is God and besides him there is no God?
Prophet Isaiah answered this question, In Isaiah 44;6
““Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.(Isaiah 44:6 and Revelation 1:7 NKJV)
Jesus echo this same statement in Revelation 1:18
“Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”(Revelation 1:17-18 NKJV)
“I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. (Isaiah 43:11 KJV)
“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”(Luke 2:11 )

From what the Bible says, why should we believe that Jesus is God?
Jesus said, “in order that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He that does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. Most truly I say to YOU, He that hears my word and believes him that sent me has everlasting life, and he does not come into judgment but has passed over from death to life.(John 5:23-24).
Anyone who fails to honor the son did not honor the father. For example, if anyone or country mistreat or disrespect the Secretary of States of America , that will be considered a disrespect to the President of American.
Conversely, the honor granted the Secretary of States is an honor for the President that send him. Similarly, the only way to honor God is to obey his command to honor Jesus, his son. In fact, Jehovah rejoices in heaven when we praise and honor his son.
Jesus re emphasizes the importance of honoring him when
he said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.” (John 13:20 NKJV)
Who created the heavens and Earth, For whom were all things created? Based on Colossians 1:16-17?
What Will Happens to those refused to Honor Jesus?
“Therefore I said to YOU, YOU will die in YOUR sins. For if YOU do not believe that I am [he], YOU will die in YOUR sins.” (John 8:24. And Deuteronomy 32:39)

The word SAVIOR apply to Jesus in the Book of Isaiah and Luke 2:11. All the prophets in the Bible were prophesying about Jesus birth and his mission to save mankind
When Jesus Open his mouth, Enemies fell Down.
They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Then he asked them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: (John 18:5-8 KJV)
One will be wondering why would the army of people with weapons fall down when Jesus open his mouth saying, I am HE. They went backward and fell to the ground.
Why?
The Trier of Jesus
No man or army can arrest Jesus if Jesus open his mouth because Jesus is God. When Jesus closed his mouth, or he remain mute, the enemies were able to arrest him and kill him so that the prophesy might be fulfilled. Ps 38:13-14
But I, like a deaf man, do not hear; And I am like a mute who does not open his mouth. Thus I am like a man who does not hear, And in whose mouth is no response. (Psalms 38:13-14 NKJV)
Since the scriptures can not be broken and God can not lie, it is necessary for Jesus to remain quiet so that he can fulfill his mission on earth to safe sinners from their sins. If Jesus were to defend himself and call legions of Angels in Heaven to exterminate his false accusers we would not have the grace of everlasting life.
Jesus said to him, “ It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.” (Matthew 26:64 NKJV)
Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” Jesus said to him, “ It is as you say.
Then Pilate said to Him, “Do You not hear how many things they testify against You?” But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly. (Matthew 27:11, 13-14 NKJV)
Is Jesus as one True God?

Who is the I AM?
What Name did God says will be endured for ever?

Jesus is Life and the Resurrection
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:44 NKJV)
He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.

In summary:
The fact is, Jesus carries divine nature of God. Is like identical twins. It is difficult to know the difference between God And Jesus. He bears the qualities and the name of God. The Bible call him God and his disciples recognize him as God. He himself said, if you see me, you have seen my father. Me and my father are one.
For example, if our creator is Jesus and everything in Heaven and on earth is created by him and for Him. If He will give us everlasting life and His father commands us to worship him, who is me and you, not worship and honour him?
Prophets Isaiah call him The might God, and our savior, Apostles Paul and Stephen prayed to him three times and his disciples worship him . The overwhelming biblical references show that Jesus is Mighty God While his father is almighty God. Our father in the Heavens bear witness to Jesus in Matthew 4:4 and command you and me to listen to Jesus and to honor him.
