Jesus or Jehovah Witness?

Whose witness should Christians Be?

The following Bible passages shows that Our Heavenly father, Jehovah God bears witness to Jesus, the Holy Spirit bear witness to Jesus, the Angels bear witness to Jesus, the prophets bear witness to Jesus and all the early Christians bear Witness to Jesus. We too should bear witness to Jesus.

God Bear Witness to Jesus

Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw descending like a dove God’s spirit coming upon him.
17 Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”(Matthew 3:17)

9 If we receive the witness men give,
the witness God gives is greater, because this is the witness God gives, the fact that he has borne witness concerning his Son.
10 The [person] putting his faith in the Son of God has the witness given in his own case. The [person] not having faith in God has made him a liar, because he has not put his faith in the witness given, which God as witness has given concerning his Son.
11 And this is the witness given, that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that has the Son has this life; he that does not have the Son of God does not have this life.
(1 John 5:9-12, John 8:18)

“While he was yet speaking, look! a bright cloud overshadowed them, and, look! a voice out of the cloud, saying: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved; listen to him.” (Matthew 17:5)

How, then, shall we escape if we pay no attention to such a great salvation? The Lord himself first announced this salvation, and those who heard him proved to us that it is true. At the same time God added his witness to theirs by performing all kinds of miracles and wonders and by distributing the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to his will.

It was only right that God, who creates and preserves all things, should make Jesus perfect through suffering, in order to bring many children to share his glory. For Jesus is the one who leads them to salvation. He purifies people from their sins, and both he and those who are made pure all have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his family. (Hebrews 2:3, 4, 10, 11 GNT)

Who was bearing Witness to Jesus in The Book of Matthew and 1john ?

If Our God bear witness to Jesus, then who we bear witness to?

Jesus said, “When the helper arrives that I will send YOU from the Father, the spirit of the truth, which proceeds from the Father, that one will bear witness about me; 27 and YOU, in turn, are to bear witness, because YOU have been with me from when I began”.(John 15:26-27)

“I have many things yet to say to YOU, but YOU are not able to bear them at present. 13 However, when that one arrives, the spirit of the truth, he will guide YOU into all the truth, for he will not speak of his own impulse, but what things he hears he will speak, and he will declare to YOU the things coming. 14 That one will glorify me, because he will receive from what is mine and will declare it to YOU.
(John 16:12-14)

“At that I fell down before his feet to worship him. But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! All I am is a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who have the work of witnessing to Jesus. Worship God; for the bearing witness to Jesus is what inspires prophesying.”(Revelation 19:10).

“‘I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear witness to YOU people of these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright morning star”(Revelation 22:16).

Who did Jesus sent to bear Witness to him?

“The Prophets Bear Witness to Jesus.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. (Acts 10:38-43 KJV)

Jesus Command all Christians to be His Witnesses.

When he said, “but YOU will receive power when the holy spirit arrives upon YOU, and YOU will be witnesses of me both in Jerusalem and in all Ju·de´a and Sa·mar´i·a and to the most distant part of the earth.”(Act 1:8)

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14 KJV).

This Jesus God resurrected, of which fact we are all witnesses. 33 Therefore because he was exalted to the right hand of God and received the promised holy spirit from the Father, he has poured out this which YOU see and hear. (Act 2:32-33)

whereas YOU killed the Chief Agent of life. But God raised him up from the dead, of which fact we are witnesses. (Act 3:15)

Also, with great power the apostles continued giving forth the witness concerning the resurrection of the Lord Jesus; and undeserved kindness in large measure was upon them all.(Act 4:33)

And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.(Act 5:42)

But God raised him up from the dead; 31 and for many days he became visible to those who had gone up with him from Gal´i·lee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people.(Act 13:30)

11 But the following night the Lord stood by him and said: “Be of good courage! For as you have been giving a thorough witness on the things about me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness in Rome.”(Act 23:11)

Who should bear witness about Jesus in Rome?

Miracles- Identifying Mark of Christians.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. (Mark 16:15-19 KJV)

What power identify true Christians?

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. (Luke 10:17-20 KJV)

What makes the disciple joyful?

He now said to them: “These are my words which I spoke to YOU while I was yet with YOU, that all the things written in the law of Moses and in the Prophets and Psalms about me must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened up their minds fully to grasp the meaning of the Scriptures, 46 and he said to them: “In this way it is written that the Christ would suffer and rise from among the dead on the third day, 47 and on the basis of his name repentance for forgiveness of sins would be preached in all the nations—starting out from Jerusalem, 48 YOU are to be witnesses of these things. ( Luke 24:36-48)

What should be preach in all the

1 Now I make known to YOU, brothers, the good news which I declared to YOU, which YOU also received, in which YOU also stand, 2 through which YOU are also being saved, with the speech with which I declared the good news to YOU, if YOU are holding it fast, unless, in fact, YOU became believers to no purpose.

3 For I handed on to YOU, among the first things, that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; 4 and that he was buried, yes, that he has been raised up the third day according to the Scriptures; 5 and that he appeared to Ce´phas, then to the twelve. 6 After that he appeared to upward of five hundred brothers at one time, the most of whom remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep [in death]. 7 After that he appeared to James, then to all the apostles; 8 but last of all he appeared also to me as if to one born prematurely.
( Act 10:43, 1 Corinthian 15:1-8)

What is the Good news to all people?

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all—[this is] what is to be witnessed to at its own particular times.
7 For the purpose of this witness I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—a teacher of nations in the matter of faith and truth.( 1 Timothy 2:5-7)

Who alone is our mediator?

My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 And I give them everlasting life, and they will by no means ever be destroyed, and no one will snatch them out of my hand(John 10:27-28)

Who are the people that will follow Jesus?

In summary, Jehovah God our father bears witness about Jesus, the HOLY SPIRIT bears witness about Jesus, all the prophets bear witness about Jesus, all the angels bear witness about Jesus, and all Christians bear witness about Jesus.

Whose witnesses should all Christian be?

Whose Witness should YOU be?

Jesus Witness Ministries is inviting you to bear witness to Jesus and come to Jesus for salvation.

History:

In 1931, Brother J.F.Rutherford changed it’s name from Bible Students International to Jehovah’s Witnesses, applying Isaiah 43:10 to support this doctrine.

“YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none( Isaiah 43:10)

If you compare Isaiah 43:11 to Luke 2:11 you may come to a conclusion that both scriptures is talking about one savior Jesus Christ.
