The Bible says in the last days,
“For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,” II Timothy 3:2 NKJV
The LOVE of money is one the signs of the last days. People will stop at nothing to get money.
What is the difference between Love of Money and Having Money?
Majority of people have legitimate money by solving problems and money follow them. By sowing seed in the soil and reap 100% by God blessings
On the other hands, some people are poor but love money. The classes of people will do anything to make money.
Another class of people are greedy politicians and government officials who are diverting public funds to their private use.
The Bible says, “But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:9-10
In African money ritual is common, where they use their own child or wife or parent to make money. Drugs trafficking is an illegal drugs distributed by drug barons. Oil bunkering and illegal gold or diamond mining is common. Kidnapping and demanding for millions of Dollars for ransom is common is Nigeria and other poor countries.
Officials corruptions is rife the government institutions in Nigeria and many other countries. For example, a group managing of Director of NNPC stole so much money that he built an underground storage to store money. He also built a big Church in his community. People respect him as godly person until he was caught. Many people will steal money through bank robbery and pay 10% as tithes in the Church. Is like telling God, this your share of my looting.
No wonders Pastors hardly talks about the danger and the consequences of the love of money. But God’s wants us to talk about it, because God does want people to go to Hell but to repent and be saved.
The love of money made many false prophets to predict that Donald Thump will win re-election but their false prophesy failed woefully. Our God cannot be mocked. You cannot bribe God with money.
God says, those who got money by exploiting their employees, by robbing the public and by illegal means will come to poverty.
For example, there was a notorious armed robbers who terrorized the South West, he confessed that he lost all the money he made and that in one day his whole family was wiped out. God of mercy salvage him and He is now an evangelist. The Bible offered solution to those who wants to be rich by all means.
Saying, “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
