People pray to God for different reasons and for different things.
A student will pray for a good grades.
A job seekers will pray for good jobs if unemployed.
Some are praying for a good husband or praying for a good wife. Recently, most Evangelical Christians pray for their candidates (Donald Trumps) to win US Presidential Elections.
However, the common prayers of Christians is praying for money.
Father let me be rich like Bill gate.
Let me be rich like Dangote
Let me rich like my Pastor
It is unfortunate that Praying for money cannot make You Rich.
If praying for money can make one rich , Africans would have been the richest people in the world. Because Africans are praying for money too much and yet they are the poorest.
Majority of people who goes to church today, are doing so because of money. Majority of Poor people goes to church from Monday to Sunday because they imagine God will answer their prayers and become rich by God’s favor.
Some people imagine that they can become rich like their Pastor. By living in the church praying 24/7.
Majority of Church Pastors today have turned into prosperity teachings and their members are still poor.
Why? Why and Why!
God’s says, my people are perished for lack of knowledge.
People lack the knowledge of Godly principles. Godly principles surpasses Prayers, religion or faith. Godly principles such as, whatever you sow, this you shall reap. If you sow Orange, you shall reap Oranges.
You don’t have to to believe in religion before you reap whatever you sowed.
Similarly, you don’t need religion or prayers to be rich.
How do I mean?
First of all, God don’t print money and He doesn’t use money. Your government print your money as a medium of exchange. Therefore, it is a waste of your time looking for money in the church or on the prayer mountain.
God has given you the power and the wisdom to create wealth. He makes his rain for all people regardless of their faith
He gives his sun to give light to everyone to both the righteousness and the bad people.
He expected you to use your God given ability to create something new to benefit humans races.
Don’t be asking God for what you can do for yourself. These are the Godly principles to create wealth.
For example, my fellow Pastors were shocked when I told them, I don’t pray for money. It sound like am a proud person to many people. It is not pride. It is knowledge of Godly Principles.
There are things God is expecting you to do for yourself, don’t expect God to come down and do it for you.
Then the question is , How to have riches? To answer this question, we asked another questions
How does Isaac, and Solomon become rich? How does Alico Dangote become rich? How does Bishop Oyedepo become rich? I will answer these questions shortly.
The Bible tells me that Isaac’s sow seeds in the land and reap hundreds fold. Where did he sow his seeds? He sowed in the land and God made the seed to yield 100%. If Isaac go to the mountains to pray without sowing the seed. If he goes to the church would he have gotten 100%? If your answer is no. You’re correct.
He sowed in the soil and reap a hundred fold. He did not sow it in the pocket of another man. He sowed the seed in the soil.
“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.”
Genesis 26:12
The lesson here is, you give God something to bless.
What about King Solomon? God asked him, whatever you want asked, and I will give to you.
Imagine yourself in front of Jesus and he asked you, son or daughter what can I give you? What would you ask for?
What does Solomon pray wanted from God in prayers? He asked God:
“Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”” II Chronicles 1:10
Then God said to Solomon: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king—”
II Chronicles 1:11
“wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.””
II Chronicles 1:12 NKJV
Another Godly principles you can learn from King Solomon was he asked God for wisdom to solve problems of leading his people.
As a result God gave him wisdom and riches beyond any King. Therefore, if you encounter financial difficulties, ask God to give you business ideas to solve financial issues and use it to help other people in similar situation.
My own prayers is that, God let be a blessing to my community. Make me a distributor of your blessings to other people.
When you pray to solve problems of others, Money always follow solution to problems.
In other words, be looking for any problems around you and find solutions to it. Money will follow it.
That is the secret of how to make money.
For example, Aliko Dangote
In the 1990s, he approached the Central Bank of Nigeria with the idea that it would be cheaper for the bank to allow his transport company to manage their fleet of staff buses, a proposal that was also approved. Today he became the richest black African.
He thinks of how to solve the problems in Transportation, the the shortage of cement, problems of staff bus, the problems of food and problems of gasoline by building refineries. He became rich by solving problems and money follow Him.
He did not pray in the mosque for money.
What about Bishop Oyedepo? Firstly, He loves God. He later noticed that the majority of Nigerians are poor. There was graduate employment. And those who graduated are not employable due to lack of quality education. The Nigerian government has failed the public by operating a unitary system of government that is killing job creations and business innovation.
God gave him the solutions to the problems of poverty by preaching good news to the poor. He build schools from grade- primary school to the University level to address the issues of poor education. He employed thousands of people and trained them as teaching staffs and Pastors, thereby alleviating the problems of unemployment. He saw shortages of housing, He thinkers solutions. As I said,money follow solutions to problems.
The facts is, you don’t have to be Christian or Muslim to be in wealth. But you have to be a problem solver, then money will follow you.
Finally, Jesus said in Mathew 6:24,31-32 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”
Matthew 6:24, 31-32
Please don’t go to church looking for money. Don’t go to the mountains praying for favor. Don’t be anxious about material things, Jesus says it is gentiles or unbelievers or infidels that pray for material possession.
Again, praying for money won’t make you rich. But solving other people problems can make you rich.
