What is the definition of knowledge?
Knowledge is a familiarity, awareness, or understanding of someone or something.
(Knowledge of facts: is called (propositional knowledge),
Knowledge of skills is called (procedural knowledge), or objects (acquaintance knowledge)
The philosophical study of knowledge is called epistemology.)
However, am focusing on the Biblical definition of knowledge of God
What is the knowledge of God?
What are the benefits of the knowledge of God?
or why is the knowledge of God important?
What are the characteristics of Knowledge?
To answer these questions, I will be quoting from the Scriptures for clarity.
The knowledge of God is the spirit of God. You need to have the spirit of God before you can have the knowledge of God.
Knowledge of God is Love. The knowledge of God will move you to love people because God is love. Those who hate peoples because of their races or economic status are ignorant of God. They don’t know God. Apostles John said:
“Anyone who does not Love has not come to know God because God is Love” 1John 4:8.
The Pharisees and the religion teachers hate peoples whom they called gentiles and sinners but Jesus love them and died for sinners like us because Jesus is God.
Also Knowledge of God is
the Spirit of knowledge. It is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:4-9
Personally, the knowledge of God has helped me know the mind of God. It helps me to think like God and to behave like God. Also the knowledge of God will helped one to distinguish between a Godly person and a religion person.
Knowledge can be applied positively or negatively.
Knowledge is neutral. It can be applied for good things and it can be applied to do evil.
For example, a medical doctor can give you medicine to heal you when your are sick. The same Doctor can kill you with medication.
Again there are two types
of Knowledge. Knowledge of Good and the knowledge of Evil.
God said in Genesis 2:17
“but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”Genesis 2:17
The day Adam ate from the tree of Good and Evil in disobedience, he was disconnected from God. Just as you disconnect your ceiling fans from the power source, it will come to stop. Similarly, Adam separation from God leads to Death.
Adam was driven out of the garden to prevent him from eating from the tree of life and live forever.
“Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”—”
Genesis 3:22 NKJV
This shows that if you know God and you love God, he can show you the tree of Life and you will eat it and continue to live forever.
The knowledge of God leads to good health, it leads to external life under God’s Kingdom.
Prophets Isaiah show us the pictures of how beautiful and peaceful our world would be under the righteous kingdom. During that time all the wild beasts like, Lion, Tiger, snakes will be harmless. God says,
““The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.
Isaiah 11:6-9.
Why is knowledge of God Important and what are the benefits of God’s knowledge to you and me?
Majority of people agrees that knowledge is power. In addition to having power
Having the knowledge of God is a matters of life and death. You have a choice. Like Pastors Oladipupo said,”it is a spiritual buffet” you choose what you want. Knowledge of God will help you to choose life over death.
God said: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”
Hosea 4:6 NKJV
Why do Nation of Israel’s deserve this verdict? They engaged
In swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed.”
Hosea 4:2 NKJV
Is Americans doing better than the nations of Israel?
Imagine how many innocent babies and people that sacrifice on the alter of Abortion and gun violence every year in America due to lack of knowledge of God.
Lack of the knowledge of God will leads to Generation curses
Lack of the knowledge of God can lead to destruction.
Lack of the knowledge of God can result in Lack of God blessings.
Lack of knowledge of God can lead to blood shed if the will of the people are overturned by the former President of American.
That is how dangerous it can be for anyone who reject God”s knowledge.
To prevent these problems, God is making his knowledge available to all humans races.
God said in Habakkuk 2:14 “For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14
In fulfillment of God’s promises to make sure his knowledge covers the world as the waters covered the sea. God has done four things
1. God has written his laws into your heart and into my heats.
Hebrew 8:10-12 . You have no excuse not to know God. The knowledge of right and wrong was written in your hears.
2. Presently you can download the Bible applications into your phone and feed your mind on spiritual things that can take you to Heaven. On the other hand, you can download pornography to corrupt your body and go to Hell. The choice is your to make.
3. You can attend church services anytime and anywhere in the world through the clouds.
4. Holy Spirit can teach you and give you understanding of God’s Knowledge. 2 Peter 1:20
There is no excuse for anyone to be ignorant of the knowledge of God.
The choice is in your smartphone and in your palms. You have the knowledge of Good and the knowledge of bad in your hands.
Some people download go go bar and pornography into their phone while people like me download Bible application and Church application to feed on God’s knowledge. You have a choice. You have no pastor to blame for your lack of knowledge of God.
There is no more excuse for anyone not to have the accurate knowledge of God.
“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the lLORD,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.”
Hebrews 8:10-11 NKJV
Finally the knowledge of God was written in your hearts by the Holy Spirit. You have the knowledge of Good and the knowledge of bad.
The Knowledge of God leads to life everlasting. The knowledge of God can give you prosperity. King Solomon, and many Servants of God today have no lack due to God’s knowledge.

May God bestowed on you the spirit of knowledge of God in Jesus name.
May the knowledge of God leads you to prosperity now in Jesus name.
May the knowledge of God give us everlasting life in the mighty of Jesus.
