The American Idols
The American Idol was a Television Episode or a Television Show. Many of us enjoy watching this shows. Anyone of the contestants who won this show become rich and famous. Many commercial signs her up for their products.
The question is who is your idol? Who do idolize? Who do you follow blindly? Why I am I asking these questions? The reason was Satan is promoting idol worshipping in the subtle name of loyalty to one’s religion or loyalty to one’s pastors.
Many people have become an Idol worshippers in the church without knowing it.
One man of God was threatening another person, “I can kill you if you speak against my pastors or my religion. Is that person better than a Muslim Jihadists who killed people who says wrong against their prophets. That pastors or religion has become an idols to him or her.
Other are so loyal to their religion to the point that anyone who spoke against their religion beliefs is speaking against God himself.
Their religion has become an Idol and they have become an idolaters
Did God encourage you to follow your prophets, your pastor or your religion blindly?
Let us hear from Apostles John.
He said, “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
This scripture wanted you to examine and compares what your religion or prophets are teaching with the Scriptures to know whether their teaching is from God. If you’re listening to God you will not idolize any human being.
Apostles Paul commends the Churches of Bereans. He said,
“ These were more fair-minded (not fanatical) than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.”
Acts 17:11 NKJV.
Are you searching the Scripture daily to make sure your religion is teaching you the truth? If you do, you will not be guilty of idolatry.
Let examine Jesus and his Apostles examples.
Do the Apostles encourage absolute loyalty or idolize our pastor or religion? The answer is no.
What is the Holy Angels saying to Apostles John about idolizes him?
“Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.””Revelation 22:9 NKJV
Angels reject Apostles John worship saying that worship belongs to God only.
Presently Satan is introducing idolatry into the Churches. For example, an Evangelist Singer’s was praising his her Pastor Ajanaku that God’s of Ajanakun, shortly after the prophets Ajanakun dies, and the Secret cult people came to bury him.
This is why a believers needed to examine and test all the teachings coming from your church and prophets because there are many false prophets in the world. May you not worship God in vain.
Another examples was, there was two prophets in America in the 80s.
David Coresh in Waco Texas and James Jones is South America.
The latter gave poisoned cool aid to his followers and told they would see God after drinking the Holy cool aid. They were dead.
David Coresh of Waco Texas
claimed to be Jesus incarnation. He dressed like Jesus and when the government wants to arrest him for drugs and child
molestation. He locked himself and the thousands of members inside and they were all died in fire. Only few people who are doubters escaped and were able to tell the story.
Don’t misplaced loyalty to blind followers-hip. Please don’t believe any prophets or religion. Examine and test their teachings from the Bible. Obedience is better than sacrifice.
People buy any product labels with American idols thinking it must be good and fashionable. Satan is introducing religion idols in our churches. You must be careful not to enter his traps.
Jesus was saying that not everyone (not every prophets, not every Pastors) using his name to cast out demons or to heal the sick) are doing the will of God. And He Jesus will reject them as workers of iniquity. If you’re their loyalists and can you kill for them, if God reject them where would you be? Meditate on Mathew 7:21-23.
In conclusion, While God did not condone rebellious and stubborn behavior in the Church, He also categorized idolatry as a sin.
May God not reject our worship in the mighty name of Jesus.
Prophets Samuel told King Saul,
“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He also has rejected you from being king.”
I Samuel 15:23 NKJV
May God not reject you in the last days. Aaaamen
